As an employee of General Electric, I experience the "wonder" of making GE what it is on a day to day basis. It is absolutely breathtaking to experience first-hand how everything falls in to place with the dedication and hard work of each and every employee.

It is amazing to read the comments from others who have worked for these companies, or who have had service problems, etc.

We each have to remember that to be the most admired company doesn't mean that we have had BAD issues in one way or another, or have worked for this company and have either been released or laid off.

Each of the companies listed I have had some faults with but stopping and thinking about how the buiness is run from day to day and meeting certain obligations is something we have to consider. GE should be at the top of the list. I worked for GE for 7 years and retired last year. I have had my issues with management and some times felt that they need not know what they were doing but all in all they were good to me and others. They did not hid or skirt around the issues and GE's Intergity is outstanding from their Management down to each employee who makes up the business.

Toyota is an outstanding corporate citizen and I'm glad to see them get the recognition they deserve. They contribute more to the American economy in the way of capital investment in the U.S. and jobs for Americans than any other "American" car company today.
